A Project of Light - Hope and Resilience

The Story of Unfinished Wings

🖤 UNFINISHED WINGS — HOW IT BEGAN
This wasn’t supposed to become a project.

I was going to make a pair of wings.
And then I was going to die.

That was the plan. Quietly. Symbolically.
I had this clear image in my mind—wings made of light and gold.
Something beautiful. Something meaningful.
Something to leave behind.

💭 I was deep in it. Suicidal. Exhausted.
Not dramatic. Just done.

But as I started building those wings—carefully, slowly—
When I finished the front, I felt something I hadn’t felt in a long time:
Hope. Just a little flicker of Light.

I left them Unfinished on purpose.
Because I was still here.
And I didn’t know what came next.

That’s where Unfinished Wings comes from.
From that moment. From that pain. From the tiny shift that made me stay.

🧵 I still create in those moments.
When the darkness is heavy.
When I can’t see a way forward. When suicide feels like the best avenue.
I start gathering broken things—torn, forgotten, discarded—
and I begin reimagining them. Giving them new life.

Just like I’m trying to do with myself.

These dresses aren’t polished. They’re not perfect.
Some are stitched through tears.
Some are literally held together with safety pins.
Each one is intentionally unfinished—
Because I am, too.

🕊️ These dresses have now walked runways in Switzerland, Utah, and modeled at the Eifel Tower in Paris.
But I don’t do this because I’m healed. I’m not.
I do it because I’m still here.
Still fighting.

Still unfinished. And I want to help others STAY as well. To find their Unfinished Wings.

I’ve seen the impact Unfinished Wings has on people everywhere it is shared.

Let me know if you’d like a “Sponsor a Dress” section or a donation call-to-action that flows right after this. I can format that next to fit naturally.
