Hi, I’m Mandy Anderson. I’m a mother of eight. And I claim the title of Most Introverted Introvert who Ever Introverted.

Unfinished Wings was never meant to be a “project.” It began during one of the darkest days of my life, when I wasn’t sure I could stay. I started crafting angel wings as a “last act” Yet, somehow, creating them brought me light when I couldn’t find any, and hope when I didn’t believe I could stay. I stopped creating once I finished the front of the wings, and they remain unfinished to this day.

Each dress in the Unfinished Wings collection is created from something thrifted, used and unwanted, and then reimagined into something beautiful. None of the designs are fully finished, and each are far from perfect. They represent living in the middle of the battle —depression and continually surviving suicidality without pretending to be “all better.” These dresses tell stories—mine, and maybe, yours too.

This journey has already taken me to Paris and Milan Fashion Week, Switzerland, India and Utah Fashion Shows. But it's not just about the runway—Unfinished Wings is a story meant to be shared. It’s for every person who’s ever thought they had to wait to be healed to speak up. I am still deeply “in it—not through it”—and I want to be a voice for those who feel they’re too broken to matter.

I’d love to take these wings further—to fashion shows around the world with a message of light and hope to others who are in the darkness of depression and suicidality.
